Flying the flag

Peter Cox picked up on Brown's proposal to fly the Union Jack every day of the year, and the Scottish executive's opposition to this plan. Rather than repeat what Peter has said you can read it on his own blog.

Old Coxie's attempt to stop the Union Jack flying in Wales will be as successful as his attempt to stop a new test stadium being built in Cardiff. Unlike Peter Cox most people born in Wales are more than prepared to stay part of the union.

Well at least it will give the lads something to do after turning out time.

Is that the case? And if it is, it's because of scare stories peddled by Labour that families will be split up and 'balkanisation' etc. When you say the case being set out for staying in the union, you see how flimsy it is. The Union is dying, why prolong the death?
