Nick Bourne: the credibility of his leadership is now as dead as the Norwegian Blue.
Assembly sources have informed me that the long awaited Roberts report will recommend that the Assembly stays as it is, thus opposing any moves to seek further powers for the Senedd.
"Bourne is furious while blue rinsed octogenarians are on the streets of Usk in celebration".
Evidently the Welsh Conservative Party has opted to ditch its attempts to be a Welsh party. After all, they only have to appear to be Welsh once every four years. The report's conclusions which position the partly firmly in the 'No' camp regarding a referendum on futrther powers make Bourne's tenureship of the group's leadership in Cardiff Bay unsustainable. We can presumably expect to see some major back tracking on devolution from his would-be successor.
What will Glyn Davies say, I wonder?
Toe the party line, of course.

Fantastic news - having the Tories as the true blue unionist party ensures they are stuck in their blue-rinse enclaves.
Will Labour no campaigners want to be linked with these? Mmm, probably
NuLab anti-devolution groups will be perfectly happy to join the right -wing tories if they think it will deliver them a No vote.
It's not good news really, because it means that the Nos have a chance of winning, and when the Tories at Westminster get in again, Wales will be fucked, like it was when that dickhead Kinnock left us, as Gwyn Alf Williams puts it, 'a naked people under an acid rain' of Thatcherism.
It's time for a proper and progressive cross-party Yes canmpaign to get its arse in gear.
Too be honest I don't give a shit. Has the assembly helped me - yes I get the odd perscription free. one or two more trains a day. More than that the drain on the public purse has increased. bored bored bored by hapless oiks who drink from the teats of government while claiming to be for the people sick of them all. big government = big debt Labour losed my support, thanks to the left wing plaid has lost my vote tbh no one has my vote it is up for grabs. Except I will never vote Lib dem. Just have to look at black and williams to see what is wrong with voting for them.
so really its Tory, Ukip, Green or BNP for you is it?
