Seb still silent

Lord Sebastian Coe still refuses both to deny claims by reporters that he told the Welsh and Scots to fuck off, and to apologise for having done so.

Adam Price told the Western Mail last week:

“I shall be writing to Lord Coe asking him categorically to deny making the remark. If he had made the remark – and it wouldn’t matter whether it was on or off the record – it would be a resigning matter.

“It would be completely unacceptable for the head of the 2012 organising committee to show such an attitude towards the views of the Welsh, Scottish and Northern Irish football associations.”

Today we shall hopefully see whether or not the Assembly Government has anything to say on the matter. Either First Minister Rhodri Morgan or Sports Minister Alun Ffred Jones will have to press Lord Coe for a categorical and unambiguous denial. Otherwise Seb will have to resign.
