Lib Dems: Soon to become extinct?

Supporters of the One Wales government will have been highly amused by Peter Black's recent attempts to cover up the internal wranglings of the Welsh Liberal Democrats by inventing problems between Plaid and Labour AMs that simply do not exist.

What really has the Welsh Liberal Democrats worried is the decision of Ireland's Progressive Democrats to give up the ghost, despite having comparatively better representation in the Dail than the Lib Dems have in the Senedd. The Irish Progressive Democrats' decision to disband is obviously a great cause of discomfort for Welsh Lib Dems.

Well Ordo, you're quick to point out other people's errors.

Your ocular impairment seems to have little effect on the rest of your 'work'.

Just happy to help.

Why does Simon/Ordo act like a Plaid insider? He's the younger brother of Alan in Dyfed.

You make a very important point Ordo - you have hit on something here.

Time is definitely catching up with the Lib Dems generally.

They are now an irrelevance in Wales and their position under the Leadership of that pro-Tory, Cameron-loving, Jenny 'Battery Acid' Randerson, will make them even more unpopular.

Even that political lightweight and cry-baby Kirsty 'Kleenex' Williams, is now toying with letting the Tories back into power here in Wales - she is a disgrace! Mind you, is there any wonder she all-at-sea, when she has that halfwit Peter Black running her campaign?

The Welsh people will NEVER forgive the Lib Dems for letting the Tories back into power in Wales and that is why their position will get even worse.

They have no vision other than coat-tail politics - riding to 'power' at others' expense. That's why they love PR so much - they call it laughably, fair votes!

The lies, distortion and gutter politics that the Lib Dems love so much, is now catching-up with them - and about time too!

It was fascinating to hear Randerson supporting that clown Lembit Opik in the media today. Everyone knows she does not mean it. He is a total embarrassment and a complete tosser - yet he is one of her biggest backers! What does that say about her political judgement? Remember, Randerson is also backed by Eleanor Burnham. Now, if Jenny Randerson really wanted to seen as a serious politician in the current political climate, wouldn't you think she would distance herself from people like Opik and Burnham?

The Lib Dems are bringing Welsh politics into disrepute.

It's causing such discomfort to the Lib Dem's that no-one had noticed....

But obviously seeing as we're an irrelevant party how should I be suprised. I mean, we only lead three of the biggest Council's in Wales, including the capital. And we only have representation on the cabinets of over half the Welsh Councils....

Yep, and despite that you are, and will remain, Wales's 4th party. Now that's a signal achievement.
Most of your council seats are fought and won on lies (Ive seen your 'guide' to candidates and it should be called "how to Lie'), but your Westminster and Assembly seats are mostly fought and lost on irrelevance.

The Lib Dems have a significant foothold in Local Government in Wales and where they have replaced dire Labour Authorities, any mediocre management will look comparatively good.
Talk of their extinction in Wales is somewhat overstated. Having said that, they could well go down to one MP and that would be a disaster for them.
